I’ve been doing a lot of reading since moving to China. As weird as it sounds, it’s helped a lot with feeling homesick. Today I’m joining the party (pretty late, but oh well) with Steph’s linkup about five books I’ve read recently. These are five books I seriously think you will LOVE and are a great way to kick off 2015! I’ve linked the books to their Goodreads description… do you use Goodreads? If not, what are you doing? One summer day, Nick Dunne’s wife, Amy Elliot Dunne, goes missing. Is Nick to blame? Where did Amy go?
I’ve seen this movie, but the book is just as good (did you see the movie? Did you think it was well done? I really, genuinely did!) This has one of the biggest plot twists EVER. It’s suspenseful and interesting and kind of just full of mind tricks. I’ve read both of Flynn’s other books too, and they’re very dark and even MORE FREAKY.
Sophie’s ex-boyfriend’s Aunt dies, and she leaves her her house. Not only is this a fantastic new start for Sophie, but also a chance for her to live close to the famous Munro Baby Mystery house.
This book has a bit of a slow start, but it really starts to pick up. For some reason I frequently identify with single women in their thirties (why? How odd, right?!) I loved that there was mystery, drama, and suspense in this story. I’m also completely hooked on Moriarty’s writing style. If you’ve read The Husband’s Secret, you’ll love this book! Also it takes place in Australia, which I found really amusing!
