I have a confession. I love playing board games. Like genuinely really love it. My friends and I love getting together to play games (even better if there are delicious snacks involved!). For this Halloween, I even hosted a murder mystery party so let’s just say I’m very into THEMES. There’s nothing better than sharing delicious snacks and getting together and enjoying each other’s company, as well as exercise your brain (is that just the teacher in me?)
I also am a HUGE fan of escape rooms. Have you ever done one? I went the other week to an actual one and the idea is simple– you’re locked in a room and have to use “clues” to figure out how to escape the room. It’s a lot of fun. But sometimes you just want to stay in and not venture into the (biting) cold. That’s exactly what you can do in your own home with the Escape Room:The Game! There are four different themes to choose from (Prison Break, Nuclear Countdown, Virus, and Temple of the Aztec).
The game board is awesome and it’s so much fun. You will use your brain, teamwork, logic, and attention to detail to try and solve the puzzle. There’s even a free app you can use to play thematic as you play– how fun! Each game lasts 60 minutes, which is just enough time for a fun night but won’t take hours up. To eventually escape the room, you need to correctly enter a four key combination into the Chrono Decoder, but hurry– the clock is ticking!
If you love escape rooms and playing board games, I know you will love this fun game! In 2017 there will even be expansion packs you can buy so you have more than four “rooms” to escape from. This would make an excellent Christmas present! 🙂
When you use the app, first select which room you want to play.
Then you can choose the music, or share fun escape room photos!
