Think Pretty Little Liars mixed with a slightly less raunchy Gossip Girl. This book is a fun, quirky read if that’s what you’re looking for.. Albeit a bit predictable and cheesy. It’s a good read if you’re looking for something to take on the beach, but it’s not AMAZING.

I had high hopes for this book which was advertised as a total page turner which to me, it wasn’t. Have you ever read a book that is so confusing and has so many characters you feel like you have to take notes? This was it for me. You have to pay a lot of attention! I wasn’t completely pleased with the resolution of the story either. My vote? Read it if you can get a copy from your library, but don’t buy it!

I won’t lie, I’m not a huge fan of historical fiction but this book was amazing. I really couldn’t put it down and it had me in tears with the author’s powerful writing style. It’s a touching book about Irish immigrants and overcoming adversity. Highly recommend!

Last weekend we had a long weekend and I found myself without any plans for the entire afternoon and evening (!!) I decided to tucker down and stay in and bought this book on a whim. I was shocked that I read the entire book in one sitting, something I haven’t done since I’ve read The Fault in Our Stars. If you don’t like The Bachelor franchise, don’t read this book; you’ll hate it. However if you do, you should totally read it. It’s super juicy and is an easy read.
What have you been reading that’s good lately?
